The Personal Barber is a recurring subscription service that provides you with everything you need to have the best possible shave and to enjoy doing it!
We have two tiers of subscription:
Essentials Box - A newly picked shaving soap/cream + 10 replacement blades.
Discovery Box - Same as above plus 2 extra full size male grooming items.
Boxes are delivered to your personal shaving schedule and every box is different, to keep your routine interesting.
That's up to you! You select your frequency when you join.
Each kit comes with enough supplies to last 6 weeks of daily shaving so our minimum frequency is every 6 weeks.
You can also choose every 8,10, or 12 weeks (get in touch if you'd prefer a longer frequency)
Our base tier Essentials box is just £12.95 with free UK delivery
Our Discovery box tier is a total of £24.95 with free UK delivery. It includes an average of £35-£45 worth of products so you always make a huge saving.
You can add our signature safety razor and shaving brush to your first subscription box for just £10
We get this question a lot, with some people worried about cutting themselves.
Fortunately, it's called a safety razor for a reason! The bar protects you from the blade so you can remove your beard with ease. It does take a few shaves to get the hang of but we include step by step instructions that quickly take you from novice to master in only 1 or 2 shaves.
We're proud to be able to say that over 90% of subscribers tell us they would never go back to their disposable cartridge after trying our razor.
Yes! We have lots of members that shave their head.
It is considered a more advanced technique so it might take a bit longer to get the hang of it but once you know what you're doing it will give just as fantastic a shave as anywhere else.
If you're head and face shaving, make sure to replace your blades more frequently (2-3 shaves).
Of course! Our shaving club is all about discovering fantastic new artisan soaps, creams and more. You can use any razor with the main products we include in the box.
Yes! If you login to your account, and head over to "manage subscriptions" you can add extra items to your box to save on postage costs.
As the contents of the box changes with each delivery, we can't guarantee it will be allergen-free. However, we do specify the ingredients in each box on our blog page so you can check before you buy.
If a box is coming up with an item that you won't be able to make use of, drop us an email and we will try our best to find you a replacement from a previous box, subject to stock.
Yes. We send out a reminder email, notifying you of your next payment and box, 4 days before it is processed.
The email includes links to your account page as well as a quick push back button if you want to move your next renewal back by up to 4 weeks.
Frequently Asked Questions - Billing/Shipping
Signing up for The Personal Barber means opting into a subscription service that bills you according to your chosen box frequency.
You will be sent a reminder 4 days before your renewal is coming up. Payment is taken on the day of your renewal and your box will usually be shipped to you the same day.
For example, if you are on a 6-weekly membership, you will be charged every 6 weeks and be sent a new box every 6 weeks. You are charged per box you receive.
We aim to send out your box the same day that you place an order (if ordered by 12:00 Midday). The next box in your subscription will be shipped the same day payment is taken.
You will receive a shipping notice via email when your box ships.
It's free. For UK subscribers to our recurring subscription boxes, shipping is included, you don't pay anything extra.
However, buying individual items from our online shop (not the subscription) has a small delivery fee unless you reach the minimum spend of £60. If you buy an item at the same time as the subscription box, we can combine the two into one package and shipping will be free.

Shipping costs for our subscription boxes cost:
£3 to EU addresses for an untracked service
£6.50 to EU addresses for a tracked service
£7 to the rest of world for an untracked service
£11.95 to the rest of the world for a tracked service
Please note that shipping for subscription boxes internationally is different to the cost of shipping individual items in our online shop. This is because we subsidise part of the cost to make it as cheap as possible for our subscribers.

For UK subscribers to our recurring subscription, you should expect your box 3-5 days after receiving our 'shipped' notification.
International customers can expect to receive their box 7-10 business days after receiving their 'shipped' notification.
PLEASE NOTE: The pandemic has had, and continues to have, an unprecedented affect on global courier chains and we are seeing a lot delays for our international orders, with some taking up to 5 weeks to arrive.
We usually ship all subscription boxes with Royal Mail.
International orders will be delivered by a local courier.
For UK customers: If it's been 10 days since receiving your shipped notification email and your order hasn't shown up, please get in touch at email@example.com
We will try to track down your parcel and send a replacement if required.
For International customers: Royal Mail requires us to wait a full 30 days before they'll consider a parcel lost, but please get in touch if it's been 2 weeks since your shipped notification and we can do our best to chase them up.

To update your account information and manage your subscriptions, log-in at the top of the page via the person icon or via this link.
Updating your address details must be made from your "manage subscriptions" section after logging in.
If you have any problems or are in any doubt, get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Of course! If you are not completely satisfied with The Personal Barber, or maybe you want to grow a beard for a bit, you can cancel at any time from your account page.
If you are perhaps going on holiday or want to take a break from shaving you can click the "skip a box" button (also on your account page).
Please note, once a renewal payment has been taken, your subscription box goes into packing and processing and cannot be cancelled. But don't worry, we give you plenty of time to cancel before renewing and send out a reminder so you're never caught short.
It is not usually possible to cancel an order once placed, due to the speed we send them out, however, please send an email to email@example.com and we will do our best to help.
Please note, once an order has begun to be processed, it is not possible to recall it.

Monday - Friday: 9am-5pm
If your order has arrived damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery and we will get it replaced.
