Hello Handsome Sandalwood Shaving Soap
Don’t be put off by it’s size, this small soap has incredible longevity, lasting for well over a month of daily shaves. We were also very impressed by its performance. In only a few swirls of the brush you can create a thick, stable lather that leaves the skin feeling smooth and comfortable. And just when you thought using a proper safety razor couldn’t get any manlier, this soap has a tempting sandalwood scent that lasts throughout the shave.
To use: Work the soap with a slightly damp brush until fully loaded and then build your lather in a bowl, your hand, or directly on your face. It soaks up water without trouble so you can keep adding drops until you get the desired consistency. Remember to leave your soap in an open space, away from moisture, so it can fully dry before next use.
Hello Handsome Shaving Balm
A post-shave balm is an essential item in every shavers routine. It is used to soothe and repair the skin as well as replenish moisture to keep it hydrated and free from irritation like rash and ingrown hairs. This shaving balm is a great example of that, it easily absorbs into the skin leaving it feeling soothed and well hydrated. Perfect for this month’s box because the neutral fragrance won’t clash with your new soap or cologne.
To use: Using slightly moist hands, rub a small peanut-sized dollop of balm all over your shaved area immediately after shaving. The sooner you apply a balm after shaving, the more moisture you’ll be able to lock in.
Solid State “Wayfarer” Cologne
Solid State are possibly the most exciting new brand we’ve introduced in the subscription. Rather than using a cumbersome spray bottle, they have created 3 spectacular scents and packed them into convenient portable slide tins, perfect for travelling and reapplying on the go. The difference between this and a regular cologne is that it uses a highly concentrated wax base meaning there is no water content, allowing for a higher concentration of fragrance. Made using naturally sourced ingredients such as Shea Butter, Jojoba Oil and Beeswax for a comfortable non-greasy feel on the skin. The scent we’re featuring is the “Wayfarer”, described with top notes of tobacco, tonka bean, vanilla and cacao blended with a spicy fruit and wood base. We absolutely love this innovative product, it smells incredible, has a premium feel and is a joy to use. Much like our featured soap, don’t be fooled by the size of this product. Due to its high concentration, only a small amount is needed on each application allowing it to last a long time.
To use: Gently rub your finger over the balm in a circular motion and then apply to your pulse points such as your wrist, neck and behind your ears. We use the pulse points as they cause the cologne to heat up and last longer. Scent should last roughly 4 hours before it may need reapplying.

Every month we'll feature new blades to test out so you can find the one that's right for you. It's always worth remembering that blades give different experiences depending on how they're used. The razor itself will often affect the performance of a blade. Or sometimes a blade can feel too rough on its first shave but will be smooth as silk for its second and third. Keep experimenting.
