What is The Personal Barber Shaving Club?
The Personal Barber is the curated shaving subscription that wants to turn your daily chore into a satisfying experience to look forward to.

Every 6 weeks, we curate a selection of only the finest wet shaving gear from all over the world, introducing you to the lesser known brands and small businesses that you don’t see in the supermarkets.

Pre-shave box – Post-shave box – Extra-care box
Our latest kit in the Discovery Box subscription is the “Pre-Shave Box” which will be going out to renewing subscribers between January 1st – February 14th. With this kit we usually feature a product that’s applied before your shave begins, such as a pre-shave oil, designed to prep your beard before you slap a lather on and start shaving. We also include a face wash or scrub to cleanse your skin and hairs ready for a close shave.

We also have a smaller sized box, called the Essentials box, that features just the latest picked shaving soap/cream and a restock of 10 DE razor blades. This is for members that want to try new soaps and creams but would rather pick their own extra products. You can add any additional items to your Essentials Box without incurring extra postage fees.

TPB Summer Berries Shaving Soap RRP £9.95
We’re very excited to unveil this brand new shaving soap, made in collaboration with our fantastic artisan soap maker, based in Glasgow.
The soap has a vegetable glycerine base making it suitable for all skin types and very easy to whip into a lather. In seconds you’ll have a dense, cushioning lather that allows for an effortlessly comfortable shave. The choice of ingredients moisturise the skin, leaving a silky smooth post-shave feel.
The unique and uplifting Summer Berries scent is a fruity blend that will bring back memories of all your favourite summer fruits including blackberries, raspberries and strawberries.
The scent of shaving soaps and creams are designed to be enjoyed only during your shave. It’s a rinse-off product so the scent doesn’t linger long and therefore won’t interfere with your choice of aftershave.
To use: Work the top of the shaving soap with a slightly damp brush until it’s fully loaded (10-15 seconds) and then start building your lather as normal either in a bowl, your hand or directly on your face. If it seems paste-like, keep adding drops of water until the desired consistency is acquired. You want to aim for a shiny meringue consistency.

TPB Mint & Tea Tree Ultimate Pre-Shave Oil RRP £14.95
We’re excited to announce the launch of a new addition to our popular pre-shave oil range, using the stunning Mint & Tea Tree scent, handmade at TPB HQ.
A pre-shave oil is a fantastic addition to your shaving routine, particularly if you have sensitive skin, because it softens your beard and preps your skin to provide an extra layer of protection so you can have a comfortable shave each time.
Why is this pre-shave oil special? Unlike other shaving oils on the market, ours has been made from the finest cold-pressed oils which means every drop of skin loving benefits have been preserved.
Why does cold-pressed matter? Most oils are extracted with heat and/or solvents to maximise their yield, and then deodorised and bleached to remove scent and colour. This process helps ensure a uniform product at a cheaper cost with an increased shelf life, but it degrades the fatty acids and precious plant-specific compounds that give individual oils their nutritional, healing and antioxidant properties. Cold-pressed ensures those properties are maintained.
Our unique formula showcases oils that have been selected specifically for their anti-inflammation properties which makes them ideal when used as part of a shaving routine, as well as being extremely low on the comedogenic scale making them suitable for all skin types (yes, even oily skin) without clogging pores or causing breakouts. The chosen oils are light and fast absorbing so they don’t leave the skin feeling greasy or stick to the sink.
Made up of a unique blend of cold-pressed blackcurrant seed oil, jojoba seed oil, hemp seed oil, safflower seed oil and a lightly refined watermelon seed oil.
Featuring tea tree essential oil, known for its powerful antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that help to heal as well as calm the skin after a shave.
The refreshing scent of mint harmonises perfectly with the earthy and herbaceous notes of tea tree, creating a crisp and rejuvenating experience that is sure to awaken your senses and energise you for the day ahead.
Easy flow dropper - No need to shake the bottle. Turn it upside-down and the oil flows freely.
To use: A little goes a long way. Massage 4-5 drops of pre-shave oil into a freshly cleansed beard/stubble, apply your shaving lather directly on top and then shave. If your skin feels greasy afterwards, you have used too much oil. Adjust for next time.

Made from a whipped soap based using ground Arabica and Robusta coffee beans, this natural exfoliant gently cleanses skin whilst removing dead skin cells, leaving a soft and smooth surface for your razor to easily glide over. This pre-shave scrub is perfect for men who want a closer shave while also taking care of their skin.
Shea and Avocado Butter are rich, skin-loving ingredients known for their moisturising and soothing properties that help to improve overall healthier skin. They both contain Vitamins A and E, which are highly beneficial in skincare products.

To use: Apply to wet skin and gently massage into stubble, avoiding the area around your eyes. Rinse off with warm water and you’re ready for a shave. Never firmly press an exfoliator into your skin. Gently move it around your face and let the ingredients do the work.

Gillette Platinum And BIC Astor Replacement Double-Edge Blades
Astor are a well known brand from Greece, made by BIC, they make a very sharp blade with great longevity. Best used in a mild razor so be careful to use light pressure! Last 4-8 shaves
These Gillette Platinums are well known as being one of the smoothest shaves in the Gillette line and with great longevity. Each blade lasts 3-7 shaves depending on beard thickness with most getting an average of 5.
