Twa Burds Black Magic Shaving Soap RRP £7.95
Based in Glasgow, Twa Burds Soaps is an artisanal soap maker that specialises in handmade products using natural ingredients without added parabens or unnecessary preservatives. This Black Magic shaving soap scent is one of their more popular men’s fragrances but has never been put into a shaving soap before. As a special treat, TPB subscribers are the first to try it out, as this batch was made up especially for us. Described as a deep smelling warm fragrance that is balanced with the rich earthy tones of patchouli and cedarwood, ending on a hint of cinnamon. The soap has a vegetable glycerine base making it suitable for all skin types but also makes it very easy to create a lather out of. In seconds you’ll have a dense, cushioning lather that moisturises the skin, leaving a great post-shave feel.
To use: Work the top of the shaving soap with a slightly damp brush until it’s fully loaded (10 seconds) and then start building your lather as normal either in a bowl, your hand or directly on your face. If it seems paste-like, keep adding drops of water until the desired consistency is acquired.

Percy Nobleman Face And Stubble Wash RRP £13
Percy Nobleman is a British male grooming brand that was originally started in 2012 as a way to reinvent the wheel of what it meant to be a well-groomed 21st-century modern gentleman whilst still embracing a times gone by British aesthetic. Now known worldwide for their iconic comic book series, The Adventures Of Percy Nobleman, that was the world’s first Instagram comic book series.
Their Face wash has been formulated with natural cleansers derived from coconut which provides gentle cleansing without stripping your skin or hair of their natural oils. This is ideal pre-shave as as it helps to remove any dirt or dead skin cells that could otherwise inhibit the razor’s glide, without drying out your skin. Scented with peppermint & cucumber, it leaves the skin hydrated and your stubble softened ready for a shave.
To use: Before shaving, apply a small dollop of face wash onto your face and massage into skin using small circles to create a soapy lather. Rinse off thoroughly before applying your shaving lather.

Mesoa For Men Revitalising Moisturiser RRP £12.49
Mesoa For Men is a premium male grooming brand from Cardiff with a passion for men’s mental health. Started in 2018 by former British Army soldier, Matt Jones and his best mate Andrew Jones. Having both suffered from mental health problems in the past, Mesoa For Men was born out of their passion for taking care of themselves physically and as a way to give back. A portion of their profits goes towards male mental health charities. Their premium products are made using the best quality essential oils and vitamins that ensure men look and feel great. This moisturiser is perfect for everyday use, especially after a shave; sandalwood essential oil has antiseptic and antimicrobial properties that help to improve skin complexion as well as soothe inflammation. Neroli essential oil helps to combat irritation as well as promote skin regeneration. Mandarin orange peel is rich in antioxidants to help neutralise free radicals that can damage skin cells, as well as boosting circulation and blood flow to leave skin looking brighter. These combined give the moisturiser it’s manly fragrance. We particularly liked the non-greasy, matte effect it left on the skin and the premium glass jar it comes in.
To use: Massage a small amount into your face morning and evening after cleansing (or shaving).

Wilkinson Sword and Rainbow Replacement Blades RRP £4
Wilkinson Sword are a very well-known brand that are made in Germany. Teflon coated for added longevity and glide, they give a consistent smooth shave. Will last 4-7 shaves depending on beard thickness.
Rainbow are a great blade that are made in Egypt by the Lord company that make a number of blades. They're a medium sharpness blade that are best suited towards slightly heavier razors. Last 3-7 shaves per blade.
